I ran 12 miles today in the off-and-on spitting of snow. The temperature was 33 degrees when I left, and 33 degrees when I returned over 2 hours later. The wind was torturous and always seemed to be blowing against me- if I made a u-turn, so did the wind. It took me exactly 2 hours and 3 minutes to complete my run. To best my Clarksville Half Marathon, I have to add 1.1 miles and take off 5 minutes.
The 12 mile run is the longest run in my Half Marathon training; I have entered my taper period for the February 27, Oxford Run 4 Hope Half Marathon. Check out www.oxfordrun4hope.com for what the organization does and other information.
